Setting up MFA
Who: Any Go Kinetic user
What: Provides a second method of authentication in addition to password
Why: This ensures security on your account. If someone has access to your password, they would then still need the verification code which is sent a different way. This prevents bad actors from accessing your account.
Where: Profile
How:
Step 1:
After logging into Go Kinetic, select your profile icon
For apps, select ‘more’ and then select your profile icon
You’ll see a field in your profile details that says “Multi-Factor Authentication”
Click the edit button for the account information
Select the checkbox and click ‘Save’
Step 2:
Sign out
Sign back in
You should receive a “Welcome to PingID” screen, select Start
You’ll see a screen with a QR code and pairing key
Select your Authentication Method
PingID Mobile Application (The QR Code and Pairing Key): Use this if you already use PingID authentication for other log-ins
Yuibkey/Security Key: If you already have your own Yubikey or security key, you can select that here
Desktop/Authenticator allows you to set up a different device with the PingID authentication app
